He was my favourite player during his time on the team. Always worked hard, always reliable and always capable of helping the team, even if it meant his own numbers took a dive.
Agreed. Everyone is still going to cry foul though. I don’t believe genuine cap subversion happens much if at all these days. Maybe a couple of close calls but overall I don’t think it would be worth the risk for the individual making the call.
I’m starting to believe the rumours about problematic character surrounding Michkov. Hopefully he ends up with no points and fucks off back to the KHL. Reminds me a lot of Kravtsov at this point.
It kind of bothers me how everyone points to his record with the leafs (.678 is pretty impressive) but I can’t help but wonder how literally anyone would fare with the rosters we’ve had. I feel like a potato could coach these guys to a winning record. Is Keefe special? I’m not convinced.
Hopefully they work something out, but it sounds like he's looking for term and trade protection and I'm not sure you want to give that to a guy like Schenn necessarily.
