I got sick a week and a half ago, so things got a little messy. We’re back on schedule, tho. Kale has been the hero this season. Couple broccoli doing what I ask. Slugs got all my first round peppers, so on my back foot there....
I’ve been slowly converting all of my outdoor lighting to solar and adding more rain barrels for my garden. This got me thinking–what are the rest of you working on? I’d love to see and hear about your projects if you feel like sharing them....
It has been driving my allergies nuts since April 30th.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! My legacy blueberry plant is going strong, and my sunshine one isn’t far behind! I can’t wait to pick them, how will I know when they’re ready? I imagine they’ll need to darken in color a little bit and shed the little brown flower petal bits, right?

My indoor growing space is bursting at the seams with mountain mint and some very leggy tomatoes I’m babysitting for a friend while she’s on vacation. The weather has been relatively pleasant though, so I’ve gotten a few more things potted and several more trays going now as well....
I think this is why I like solarpunk. It enables us to imagine a better world, focused on us instead of the economy or whatever society thinks the most important construct is.
Previous post for the reminder...
danmccullough, to Mushrooms These wonderful little Q-tip sprouty things are Swamp Beacon [Mitrula elegans] mushrooms, and up until yesterday I had never found one. In fact they aren’t listed in many of my guides or fungi websites I visit. They mostly grow on fallen conifer needles IN BOGS… so you can see why they don’t get a lot of press!

PattyHanson, to Mushrooms Based on #StormyDaniels recollection of her encounter with #Trump, I think it's safe to say he would never be cast in one of her movies. 🍄
I had a customer come into my garden center today and ask for “those mini sweet peppers. you know, the ones grocery stores sell”. I have no idea what those peppers are. I suggested a sweet pimento, but they wanted the grocery store was selling....
