I can see how he would think that given how all his political opponents tend to conveniently fall out of windows. Proving specific charges beyond a reasonable doubt before a jury of their peers must sound positively tedious to him.

They aren’t prosecuting sedition, treason, etc, they’re prosecuting false statements essentially. Nobody gives a shit, because they’re getting their stupid ass reality TV show out of it and that’s all anybody ever wants out of it.
Trump probably could be legitimately prosecuted, but the whole thing is instead being treated a a political pageant. Our guys good, their guys bad…
It’s actually a little more irksome in trumps case for me, because instead of pursuing what they’ve advertised as being pursued, they did a bait and switch (and people are still buying it…) and threw softball pitches at the fucker thinking there’s a better chance of a home run that’ll look better on TV. They aren’t going for sedition, or incitement, or electoral fraud, they’re going for “guilty on all counts” for the sake of good headlines.
