@snarkyboy@GottaLaff He knows what the rule of law is, he’s just performing for his client. His client is just performing for his base. His base doesn’t give 2 cents for the rule of law if it obstructs their vision of a Christian nation
@CivilityFan@GottaLaff Last I checked, "performing for your client" isn't among the attorneys' duties to their client. Respecting the court and due process is, however.
@GottaLaff Oh, cry me an effin' river, Kise! If your client were any average person in this country, he'd already be cooling his heels in lockup for contempt of court.
@GottaLaff My crystal ball says he'll violate it from the stand. He starts testifying next week, right? I predict an outburst about the clerk, right there with the court reporter taking it all down. Let's see if I'm right.
@GottaLaff@jonberger he would lie a lot anyway. You know the bad generalization about lawyers lying when their lips are moving, the Orange Menace lies even when he is 'thinking'.
I would bet money that Trump is going to violate this thing in the next 24 hours. Trump knows he's losing his case in this court. He thinks his only play is to bait the judge into doing something that Trump could hang a "biased judge" accusation on him.
@GottaLaff I saw the attack on the spouse. She inserted herself into the discussion. So I am a little less concerned about that. Like him, all she had to do was -- not talk.
But I also don't believe he will ever suffer repercussions when he DOES violate the new gag order.
@tdwllms1@GottaLaff i think corrupt lawyers don't start out that way mostly - those real opportunities to prove ones integrity only occur during the course of their career - situational choices often forced upon them
so i get serious old-white-boys-club vibes from the lack of self reflection and regulation by proactively seeking out those who place mission or money before integrity
can you repeat the claims you made in court with a straight face again? it's a low bar but with actual standards
