The news of Microsoft adding all the AI crap to Windows and Office has never made me more pleased to be using Linux and LibreOffice. That decision looks more correct with each passing year. #microsoft#linux#LibreOffice

@Hank G ☑️ I felt the same way about deciding to not use Facebook, and then Facebook repeatedly was caught violating privacy laws.
However, no one else seemed to care, and my feelings of being justified remained a personal quiet feeling.
I am guessing that people will continue using Windows and MS products no matter what, as long as it continues to be considered "the industry standard" (what they told me in college)
@jccpalmer Any chance it runs under Steam with Proton? I'm shocked how many Windows games I can play on Linux nowadays. At this point Linux is a better gaming platform for me than macOS.
@hankg Nope, Bungie is staunchly anti-Linux. The game, Destiny 2, uses BattlEye, so it could run on Linux just fine, but Bungie refuses because we're all just cheaters, I guess. It's stupid, but I'm weaning myself off the game anyway. Otherwise, I do all of my gaming on Linux. It's fantastic.
@hankg I've used LibreOffice for years. I won't load Microsoft Office. LibreOffice is truly excellent. FWIW I run a home Linux file server. #LibreOffice#Linux
