TheAutisticTooter,

I'm off tonight to photograph more swing dancing. My goal tonight is to aim for a more pleasing compromise between ambient light and flash, while still freezing motion. (Wedding photographers have a tough job, I'm learning).

A single speed light, on camera, but bounced behind me was insufficient power last time. Tonight I'm setting up a couple speedlights off camera to bounce off the wall, and another across the room to back light. We'll see.

TheAutisticTooter,

Relating this to autism, I expend about 60% of my mind energy thinking about being perceived when I get there, running scripts on the 30 min. drive, and then employing those scripts upon arrival, but, finally, after I get shooting, I can become absorbed in that (because it really takes all my focus) and begin to expend less energy on the other stuff.

TheAutisticTooter,

@actuallyautistics And, so, in a way I have some dread about the possibility that, some day, I will find this stuff less challenging, and that will leave more time to dedicate to being perceived. Kind of like when the coyote runs off the cliff and doesn't fall until he realizes he's in mid air.

Also, am I doing threads right? My previous instance had a bigger character allowance.

Over in Twitter, you create the original post, then for every succeeding post, it should be a reply to the OP. This method works here in the , too.

But, if I'm not mistaken, the suggested way—according to creators of —is to reply to every succeeding reply. So, you sort of create a tree of replies. Then apps that supports or thread view will be able to display it correctly.

I did it by replying to each succeeding reply.

That's how I do it and others from what I've seen. It seems to work.

I love the whole spending more time preparing for something than doing. It's probably why we get so upset when things get cancelled or changed.

Two days ago, I spent all day trying to figure out a thing that would auto-post my blog here. If I had spent the day writing in my blog instead of getting ready for when I start writing in my blog, I would be better off.

I keep tryin to "just do it," but it's very hard.

It's one of the joys of how our brains seem to work. Going through the options, the variables, the ways and means, before we can... do. I'm not even sure just doing it is an option, let alone an easy one.
