The people of Poland have voted for democracy. The opposition has won a majority of seats and the authoritarian PiS is defeated.
The main factor was huge turnout.

@fkamiah17 So true! Just too bad most of the policies are decided upon or heavily influenced by the EU these days, an institution that in turn is heavily influenced by commercial interests from big companies.
@fkamiah17 As a Pole, I don't consider a party that promised to put it's opposition in jail without providing any arguments why winning a win against fascism.
There's also the fact they opposed all social programs until those programs proved popular, pushed for American-style healthcare system, were the most pro-Putin option in our government (to the point they actively consulted their policies with Russians) and were recorded boasting to each other how much money they took

Is it final though or is it based on exit polls? I'm was in Łódź last night and Polish friends said the final result would be known tomorrow (Tuesday).
@fkamiah17 Let's see if the new government can begin restoring rights to women. If they don't, then Poland still sucks and deserves to be expelled from the EU and free trade zone. I've had enough from Poland. I hate the nation, currently. At least I am consistent. The US has taken rights away from women and I hate them too.
