I havce read about incidents in the US where the 24 religion channel, briefly showed content from a porn channel. Rather than complaining about the sexual content, from what I understand the complaint was that it wasn't shown for long enough.
Are the people complaining about this the same lot who want to ban books.
@drewharwell When I moved to Iowa 20ish years ago, it was purple enough to hold a clear advantage over its neighbors to the west and south, but its rapid downward spiral to the far end of the red spectrum makes it seem our useless governor is competing with DeSantis to see who can create the vilest cesspool. Kim Reynolds is an embarrassment to humanity.
@drewharwell okay so comments aren't targetting the right idiots. Assistant superintendent says (in the article) "Frankly, we have more important things to do than spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to protect kids from books,” Exman tells PopSci". They're responding to a state-level law telling them to remove books with depictions of sex, they don't won't to but they're following the law ATM. Chatgpt was just a fast way of figuring out which books had sex without reading them. No ChatGPT isn't a good thing nor is banning books but attack the governor not the district thats caught in a BS culture war.
@drewharwell I can’t decide which is more ridiculous: that teenagers shouldn’t read about sex or that the district used ChatGPT. Real winning bunch they’ve got there. 🙄
