If your children stay locked in their rooms all of the time out of fear of encountering you Because they know you’ll shame them or find some other way to make them feel worthless, you’re a bad parent. If you routinely lie to your children and treat them like your own personal piggy bank just so you can feed your addictions, you’re a bad parent. If you deliberately do things your children hate just because you know they hate them, you’re a bad parent. If you inflict your children with lifelong trauma, just because you feel like it, you’re a bad parent. Yes, I’m speaking from firsthand experience.
