@nixCraft Honestly, Play Protect is mostly only useful if you install a bunch of random crap from all over anyway. All the stuff it I've seen it officially working to remove that was actually valid was from uber-generic apps that makes zero effort even to look legitimate.
@nixCraft I’ve got no problems with KDE Connect installed from Google Play Store. I’d say Google Play Protect has done the right thing when it uninstalled an unverified app installed from an unverified store, if you didn’t get it from Play Store? 🤔
@nixCraft real reason: "Google Play services detected that the application in question did not use Google Ad Services to display ads. As to our policy ads should only be shown using Google Ad Services. If the application does not show any ads it is also against our policy."
@jabberati I don't know, but this isn't the first time I've heard of KDE Connect being booted from Google Play, and I don't remember there ever having been any explanation for why.
