Bell is a freelance, albeit on a rumoured six-figure contract, so he cannot be "sacked". Also, this is the n-th time the Guardian has said it will dispense with Bell's services, so we shall have to wait and see.
Bell's cartoon of Netanyahu as Shylock is explicitly antisemitic. There is no ambiguity.
