So if you're in games: you've either just survived one of the big 10 year(-ish) industry cycles, or (maybe) you just died at the end due to the massive pinch that hits there.
When Mimimi games calls it quits off the back of a massively successful self-publish? All the layoffs? Yeah. We're there.
Which means we're entering some really, reeaaally lean years where everyone battens down the hatches and just tries to survive. Everyone will poke around, and try new things as they crop up. Eventually one of those will catch, and the early-in folks will be richly rewarded, and then it starts again.
