I was just asked by a random Mastodon user to "please shoot an internal email to a team lead or the CEO (looks like Pete Parsons, by LinkedIn) and refer me?" because they have been through enough job searching to know that "going through the normal route is not a good plan."
The sheer audacity of it is amazing. Takes either a real lack of self awareness or epic levels of stupidity to think that a random employee at fucking Bungie give a random person a referral to the CEO
