Having now watched first season I have to say that they have taken liberties with the source material (Silmarillion) so much that it pains me. The series is done with lots of money and it shows and it is enjoyable to watch but if one likes lore and the world that Tolkien created then this series is yet once again a great disappointment as it does not respect Tolkien but uses it as a name plate only. 2/5
