koalie, 4 months ago I just discovered a nasty thing about #remarkable2 with which I had otherwise been pretty happy with since I purchased one secondhand 4 months ago. Without the paying “connect” subscription, syncing stops after 50 days of inactivity. New activity doesn’t trigger syncing, but the document remains usable still. The #workaround is to duplicate it. But it’s just a lot of busy work. #meh

yatil, 4 months ago @koalie The subscription led me to buy a Boox Air 2 instead and I’m still pretty happy – tho I have a hard time integrating it into my workflow.

koalie, 4 months ago @yatil sigh... I'm not going to invest in something else. Not that soon, I mean.

yatil, 4 months ago @koalie Oh yeah, I mean, if the Remarkable works for you, then I think it’s better to swallow the service price for convenience. I just meant to say in my big table of things of what tablet to get, this was one of the points against the Remarkable.

koalie, 4 months ago @yatil I concur and I now hold it as a point against Remarkable. So long as the workaround continues to work, I'll continue without subscription.
