Everyday I have to prevent myself from getting on LinkedIn and railing against everyone for being a bootlicker but I'm not trying to totally sink my career.
@BlackAzizAnansi LinkedIn has always felt like a Potempkin Village to me. The caliber of the fake buildings and people has improved a lot since Microsoft bought it.
@BlackAzizAnansi LinkedIn reminds me of the motivational poster store they had in the mall when I was a kid. The humble brags are epic and it takes me every ounce of self control not to go wild with snark on the comments.
Folks keep asking my 10-year-old what she wants to be when she grows up. On the other end, my mother has been a nurse for 50 years and will never be able to retire.
