@matt That’s more of a personal preference thing though. I can’t not have a home button. It’s just ingrained in me. I need that physical little piece of hardware. It’s my emotional support phone feature. They took all the other buttons from us, they took the headphone jack, they took the extendable antenna. Just leave me my home button, that’s all I ask.

@matt "unkock any devices". Are you asking whether you unlock your phone with its built-in FaceID, or whether you use your phone to unlock other stuff such as car, doors etc ?

@matt Found it extremely quick and handy on my pixel 8 Pro and Surface Laptop Studio. It's barely usable on my Surface Book 2, and wasn't great on the pixel Pro 7. It's definitely getting there but very hardware dependant

@matt This may be a “grass is greener” situation… But I would trade Face ID for Touch ID in a heartbeat — at least on the phone.

@matt i disagreed with the responses on the last voting poll too. Everyone i know uses it. I think a lot of the responses on here are not the norm 😀

I'd imagine it skews depending on if iPhone users are the primary responders of the poll or not.

I don't personally know many people that can afford iPhones or flagship Samsungs or similar. As such, I don't see anyone use the feature day to day.

Polls like this on social media are far from representative and I suspect me and that other person asking the exact same question will lead to wildly different results.
