It's cool how you can't call your local post office on the phone when there's an obvious issue with a package to you that gets loaded in a truck in a slightly different (but wrong) zipcode every day for three days now and mysteriously fails to be delivered

@thomasfuchs

can do that too. A package for me was "out for delivery" every weekday for 3 weeks, with a daily notification by mail about the approximate delivery time. At the same time, it also arrived anew in the Netherlands every day. It did arrive (even though it was also in the Netherlands). Schrödinger's package.

@thomasfuchs Can't you though? My local post office's direct phone number comes up on the USPS site: https://tools.usps.com/find-location.htm?location=1362862

@The_Tim no, you can’t. The number listed for ours goes to a voicemail that’s full.

@thomasfuchs Weird and frustrating. I've never had trouble talking to a real person at our post office via the direct local number when I have problems with delivery.

@The_Tim my wife finally got connected to the local post office after waiting 50 minutes with the centralized post office customer support line 🫠
