I think it may be over this possible FireBrick fix.
We won’t know if it actually worked for weeks.
But we could know it does not work at any moment.
Proper sword of Damocles stuff…
I feel sorry for the dev team, and everyone involved, who probably have this even worse!

@revk ahh, the old "have we fixed this intermittent bug that we were never 100% sure we understood precisely what was behind it but the changes sort of made sense" phase of development.

@ahnlak yeh, but this is down to “there is a new hardware errata and it might apply in this case, but it is not entirely clear”, and “does this work around actual avoid the problem, or just reduce the chances, or is it not even this errata at all but something else” (which is what happened with the last issue).

I need to coin the phrase “Sword of Damocles bug”.

I know “Bugfix of Damocles”.

So, the clock has started when we deployed the bugfix.

The sign can be recycled as "DAYS TO CHRISTMAS" if needed 🙂
