The person who signed the pact meant well but they’re not an admin/owner and can’t really speak for the social.lol instance. @joshbranco Yes, social.lol federates with all ActivityPub servers by default, and only actively defederates from those that (a) exist for no other purpose than to harass people, (b) routinely and flagrantly violate our rules, or (c) generate a burdensome quantity of moderation reports. (To date, there have been no moderation reports tied to threads.net.)
@joshbranco Kind of! Everything is actually done within Mastodon, which has a migration process documented at https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/moving/. The process is pretty somewhat limited in scope (it will move your followers to your profile, and also put a redirect in placer on your old profile, but that’s about it—your old posts can’t be moved, and you need to manually export/import your own followed account list).
