@mikemathia@dave The whole Microsoft suite is bananas. You can’t login with at MS account because it’s a different kind. You can share that documents with your colleagues but no way can they have edit capabilities. Share with randos? Sure do they want edit capabilities? It’s truly mad.
Not an IT person, but the company I work for uses it for messaging/video conferencing. That seems to work fine.
But you can also use it for file sharing and set up project folders for project team members and assign tasks and schedules. That's the part where it really falls down. Finding stuff can be difficult.
I seem to either get ALL OF THE NOTIFICATIONS, or nothing depending on how people set things up. The search function seems really hit or miss.
Right now, some of our project stuff is stored on conventional network drives, some in various application specific cloud services, some in Teams and some in Sharepoint. And of course, some end up in emails and not filed properly.
It's just stupid, and leads to people sending you a Teams message reminding you that they'd sent you an email inviting you to join a project team on whatever cloud service.
And if I don't respond, I'll get a phone call reminding me about the Teams message, reminding me of the email with the invitation to join the project team on the cloud service.
I've never wanted to shoot someone in the face so much in my life.
@koteisaev@Sir_Osis_of_Liver The worst "feature" it has is that if you press Ctrl+Shift+C, a common shortcut for copying without formatting that I tend to use by default, it instead calls everyone in the chat channel, no matter if it's 5 or 500 people.
