@DiegoBeghin DB’s digital timetable has been the best for 20 years. It’s thanks to long term investment. Although to be fair the data here comes from UIC, and it’s the Slovenian and Croatian sites being crap, not DB being extra good.
@DiegoBeghin@apicultor oh I get that a lot from German journalists “oh isn't Germany's rail IT dire?” Oh hell no. From a passenger perspective it’s among the best 3 in Europe. Really.
Maybe in 2010, I needed to get to Cambridge. I figured I could fly into Heathrow and take the Underground into central London and take surface rail from there.
At the airport rail station, I was surprised and delighted when the ticket agent asked me where my final destination was and said they could sell me a ticket for the entire journey (on two different operators!).
A good passenger experience starts at the ticket counter, and the UK clearly understands this.
@johnlogic Sure, UK has fixed this across operators. As have a bunch of other countries, one way or another. And this is one train though that makes it extra absurd.
