Had the SC stayed out of that election, I feel confident Gore would have done the job of listening to the presidential briefings and stopped the attack on 9/11 instead of being on vacation all the time in the lead up to that awful day. How much would have changed? Trillions in military spending, countless deaths and empowered extremists in the Middle East all due to Bush/Cheney attempt to get Iraq’s oil.

Gore is not personable. Big whoop. Dana is an image voter, not an issues voter.
The same losers who lumped Hillary and the rapist with the mind of a pampered Saudi prince in the same “two evils” bullshit after the news told them to, helped bring about the fascism that will eat them, and still not take blame.
To be able to say, now after EVERYthing we knew THEN and know even more about now, that Bush and Gore were no different so why bother, takes some SUPREME willful ignorance.
@GGMcBG@TonyStark I think Biden is a much better president than Gore would have been. And awful as GWB was, trump and esply a 2nd term trump would be much worse.
There was no question that more of us should have voted for Gore. And there is even less question about who to vote for this year ...
@TonyStark Hindsight is 20/20. One thing to remember from that time is Gore was part of the Clinton administration. Clinton had appeased the republicans (e.g. welfare “reform “). It was not unusual at this time to see the 2 parties as not very different.
@woodrowtruesmith Ok, no problem. The issue is that this account is saying their position is still valid now, not just what they thought 24 years ago. I know a lot of people who understand what system we’re stuck with here and this account definitely does not. With the winner takes the EC system and how Republicans tend to vote, opposition parties even if they don’t agree need to unite. Probably preaching to the choir.

@TonyStark agreed. I tend to be less serious in certain situations and conversation but when discussing the state of our country...in earnest...I find more people tend to prefer earnest conversation.
"Sucky" isn't earnest conversation.
