I agreed to do a "fediverse tour" as a part of a conference about alternative networks in September and I have to come up with a paragraph description today of it. How would you describe a tour of this space to someone totally unfamiliar with the fediverse?

@liaizon my feedback (if you want it): unless you’re speaking to a technical audience, I’d propose another angle:
What does it feel like to be on the Fediverse? What do the users experience? Can you give a couple of examples of “only on the Fedi” interactions? How is the experience different from centralized social media?
