Many years ago I was in a bread and breakfast in London, back when there were only like 3 or 4 TV channels available. I was flipping around between them when I happened upon a thrilling game of snookers or whatever it was that was just ending (maybe around 11pm or so), I believe on BBC2. So they then run this bizarre little short with naked animated figures going after each other. They then cut to the traditional analog clock BBC logo, and the announcer says this (pretty much the exact words):
"So it's time for shutdown here on BBC2, and I hope you enjoyed that little piece. And all I can say after that is, have at it!"
Transmission ends, and I'm sitting there with my mouth hanging open staring at static.
