ai6yr,

All that coffee this morning did not do the job. Have now moved on to black tea with mint from the garden. (too much mint...darn weeds... might as well drink it).

@ai6yr my favorite recipe to use up backyard mint: todd’s minty peas! It’s actually delicious. http://www.dinneralovestory.com/todds-minty-peas/

ai6yr,

@hisstogramma Thanks, great idea!

@ai6yr When people ask me what tea herbs to grow, I steer them away from mint. You can pick it up for pennies at any grocery store and it's already in a teabag. No need to reinvent the wheel. Also no need to invite such a thuggish plant into your garden.

There are lots of herbs that make tasty tea and are easy to grow, but that are harder and more expensive to buy: catnip, lemon balm, bee balm, valerian, violets, clover, thyme, rosemary, lavender...

ai6yr,

@mjausson It is really a thuggish plant. I have some in one of my hydroponics setups, and it is out of control...
