Why is it that when I type “thanks” the phone suggests the “praying hands” emoji 🙏 instead of the bowing emoji 🙇♀️
Living in the United States, where my phones software was written, I have literally never encountered a human being who did the praying hands gesture when they said thank you. I don’t think I’ve even seen it on TV or movies. However, I have seen Japanese people bow.
A) why?
B) is there a culture that actually does 🙏 when they say thank you, and if so, what is it?
