It took 66 years, 7 months, and a day after Emmett Till was lynched for Congress to pass legislation, and for President Biden to sign the Emmett Till Antilynching Act.
Remember that lack of haste when Black Americans were the object of hate, and how few lynchings over the last several years have been thoroughly investigated.
