@niclake I have a theory that there are two camps of people when it comes to how people relate to their jobs/the role they want their job to play in their life. Some people want their job to be their passion, tied up intrinsically with their idea of what they want to spend their life doing. For others, it’s a hopefully interesting way to pay the bills and allow one to pursue other interests and hobbies outside of work. My sister is the former type, and I’m the latter.
@caroline_ann I’ve been both - used to want to do what I’m passionate about, and now I’m doing what I’m good at & pays well so I can enjoy time with my family.
@niclake You and my cat. She's fascinated when I pour the water out of the Brita pitcher into her bowl, so I do it sommelier-style, which always seems to impress her.
But she rejects those cat fountain things. She appreciates the personal touch, I think.
