I did get the Newer Tech G3 card installed, but no video. Looks like I do need to pull the cache card as I'm having the same issue of no video from the AV card.as seen in this video featuring the same G3 accelerator card.

The 8100 is pain in the neck though. Should have probably picked up a 8600 instead, if there was any reasonably priced and good shape. I’ll figure it out on Sunday, and probably get a bottle of plastic cement if I need to glue anything back.

There is an interrupt switch I need to pull out, before I can slide and drop them other board.

@yon I think I need to get some cement just in case. That interrupt switch is pretty hard to get out, might get the chance to take out the battery, and upgrade the RAM

@chikorita157 For what it’s worth, the hobby cement they sell isn’t special, just expensive.

I think someone used acetone as well. To fuse plastic. Same idea, melts together.

@yon Speaking about Gundam, there are a good amount made for Classic MacOS, but only in Japanese through.

@chikorita157 I’d like to try a few out, but I assume they are mostly simple fighting games and the likes.

Really wish we could get a “big” Gundam game where it feels big and impressive. But I fear Bamco doesn’t do AAA:(

@yon I think they are strategy games, I think one of them LTT covered when he reviewed the Apple Bandai Pippin.

It's Japanese heavy, you going to need a smartphone to translate it, if you can.

@chikorita157 Sidenote. Pretty crazy that we aren’t seeing mobile games on the AppleTV. Such a weird low hanging fruit fail for Apple.

Should be able to play Genshin or Honkai for instance (not that I Gacha, but those two are by far the most popular gacha mobile games afaik).

I still wish Nintendo could have gotten an Apple chip (though I believe that means no backwards compatibility. The way they wrote their “OS” is super bonkers when you read about it.)

I’d probably click around and muck about a bit and then loose interest :)

If it wasn’t too much Japanese though it could be a useful learning tool. Been wanting to try learning that way. It’s one of few ways I can learn languages.

@yon There are others too, but there are a few that has yet to be archived.

But a good amount that are released on the Pippin, which most should work on Classic MacOS on PowerPC (not 68k).
