@TacticalGrace_ oh, lovely! Most of the Dutch ones were originally (and still are) actually used to pump out water given how otherwise big parts of the country would be under water 😅 There is a functional one to ground wheat in Leiden, too - it's only working/open some days and I definitely want to visit and buy some flour!
@vicgrinberg I have to admit, despite being in my mid 40's, I never knew that Dutch windmills were used to pump water. It does make sense though, as you say. It would be quite soggy otherwise! If you do get to visit a functional farmers windmill I highly recommend doing so, it is a very unique experience.
