Verso is a web browser that plays old world blues to build new world hope: a new open-source project that seeks to make a cross-platform, Rust-based browsing engine, webview, and browser.
Also, can we use this opportunity to get rid of the mistakes made before? Have a browser that really only does browsing: No account/login and instead provide an API to store bookmarks and passwords in separate apps (which may or may not sync). IMHO, even triggering search itself could be removed and the browser really reduced to a web viewer.
This would improve switching b/w browsers, free users from requiring a Google/Microsoft/Mozilla ... account and overall integrate browsers better into the OS.
