@KatM @thepoliticalcat Tariff is fair and reasonable, if I don’t want a US company collecting my data, I am terrified of a company “encouraged” by Beijing collecting the same.

Not that I want Elmo collecting my data but that’s an easy choice.

Heavily subsidized EV w/ no tariff would be very tempting to large subset of Americans.

The truck in question is hot garbage though, to be clear.

Not a fan of “made in America” sort of tariffs, but it’s clear that Beijing leadership is behind trying to send these vehicles.

Understand they got into Mexico, so we’ll get some, but I shudder to think what Beijing would do w/ my daily travels. Correlate a trip to pharmacy w/ stolen data abt my scrips? Or worse.

@_ If Americans want to buy slave labor goods, they should at least be expensive. I’d rather we not import slave labor goods.
