Has anyone made contact with the people behind #Audon? I think many #blind people would like to use it, but it has a few unlabelled buttons in the room UI.
I haven’t been able to find any way to contact them but this would be a big hit in the blind community if it were a bit more #accessible.
@JonathanMosen TIL Codeberg is a thing. Hadn’t heard of that one before. Might have a look around the code when I’m back at my desk, see if there’s anything I can raise as a PR.
@pitermach@JonathanMosen@queenslight I can't promise anything but I can have a quick look, their tech stack seems very promising for accessibility, but it depends on how they developed their product.
@JonathanMosen I sent a reply to @fediversereport regarding the unlabelled buttons. I'm not sure if they may have a contact. they favourited my post. So that's one indication of recognition.
@douglawlor@JonathanMosen Hey, thanks for reaching out! Very good point about the accessibility features, and its great to hear that this might be helpful in the blind community.
The tool is made by someone in the Japanese fediverse community, which does not overlap well with the western fedi community. This is why this tool could exist for a few months with nobody here on western fedi knowing about it. I'll try and get in contact with the dev, but language might be a barrier
