@georgetakei
In Australia, the warning signs for kangaroos were stolen for a long time and sold worldwide. At some point, a sign manufacturer finally reacted and offered them himself.
@georgetakei here in small Vermont, the Hwy mile marker 66.6 was stolen so many times, the DOT has given up on replacing it. Next time I go down the highway further south, I’ll have to check if there is a 42.0 mile marker - or not
@georgetakei When I lived in Iowa we had the same problem with people stealing the Mile 69 markers on I-380. But IowaDOT didn't replace them with Mile 68.99 markers.
And we haven't even touched on the U.S. 69 shields. A lot more states are going to have issues with people stealing I-69 shields once the extension of that interstate is complete.
