@marta @kaiserkiwi I saw some mention of that as well, and the answers weren't quite clear. It has something to do with the fact that the SO TOS has carve-outs for the fact that any posts there become SO property in perpetuity, and that once an answer has been accepted, it would somehow "break the functionality of the site" (paraphrased).

I don't know any more than that, as I'm certainly no expert on copyright and privacy law in the US, much less the GDPR, but the way that the SO mods have been going after people attempting to either remove content or poison their "AI" data set suggests that they're going to go to the mat to put this to the test.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this pans out. I really do hope that it does violate the GDPR, so maybe that can help put a stop to this insanity.
