The News Broadcasting & Digital Standards Authority under the chairmanship of Justice A.K Sikri found the three news channels had violated the Code of Ethics & Broadcasting Standards and the principles relating to impartiality, objectivity, neutrality and accuracy for inappropriate reporting.

The News Broadcasting & Digital Standards Authority (NBDSA) has taken action against several television news programs for their role in spreading hatred and communal disharmony. Following complaints lodged by activist Indrajeet Ghorpade, the NBDSA has fined Times Now Navbharat Rs 1,00,000, and News 18 India Rs 50,000, while issuing a warning to Aaj Tak.
Karnataka High Court Gives Interim Protection To Sudhir Chaudhary But Says His Report Could Create Hatred Against Minorities
The Karnataka High Court today observed that a prima facie case is made out against Aaj Tak news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary for alleged communal coverage of State's ‘Svalambi Sarathi Scheme' whereby subsidy is given to religious minorities for purchase of vehicles. However, single bench of Justice Hemant Chandangoudar added there is no need for custodial interrogation and hence asked the Karnataka Police to not take any coercive steps against Chaudhary till final disposal of the matter next week.
