I was looking for flights last night, and was about to purchase tickets with . But then I saw that they were flying 's Dreamliner.

Hard pass.

Instead, I bought tickets, and will fly .

airline updates

In Dublin for a funeral. Sad but he was old and an exciting life. Back c/o Aer Lingus. Late, later, two hours no comment, cancelled.

30 minute to hotel they graciously put us up in. And dinner. Meat in everything - even the boiled veg.

staff: ‘that’s interesting’. 20 years ago (I am 50-50 IrishScot and grew up in the south) I could understand this.

Flight wankery

It gets even more incompetent. A replacement flight is on for 6.0 in the morning (still won’t get us back to the hospital shift for partner).

All in a queue. I thought I had better ask. Only half knew about the replacement. No alarms from the hotel. All eligible for flights, Aer Lingus screwed up at least two possible comms routes.

Do you think ALingus want them to miss it? Or are they just careless?

Waiting at an airport

Weather, delays, frustration, no nearby coffee machine (or bar) - understandable if irritating.

Sneaking the delays (increasing) onto a silent display unseen by most unless they walk to it 🤬
