I opened my Facebook today, and 2 more people I know (that I don't see irl) have #COVID19. One person suspects they got it on a flight even though they masked (but didn't mask during multiple social encounters and in public during their vacation smh), and another person (who also tested positive for strep) went to work despite their symptoms (unclear if they #Masked ) for 3 days before finally getting tested - meaning they likely infected multiple co workers.
That makes 5 people in the last 2 weeks that have openly shared that they have #Covid. One of those people masks regularly (though I believe it's a cloth mask).
On a side note, my parents and sister went with my 1 yr old niece to a restaurant last night to meet my 2 cousins for dinner. One of whom almost died over the summer after their second #CovidInfection. My cousin can't drive and is mostly confined to her home due to her chronic illnesses, so I can't help but be angry with my family for putting her and themselves in danger like this.
These are the same people who don't seem to understand why I won't fly home to see them despite me regularly explaining why and offering to send them masks to try to encourage them to mask up in public.
🇨🇳 China: Current Virus Due To Lower Immunity After A Covid Infection.
"Beijing has told the.. WHO that the increase in cases of people with flu like symptoms is down to a new winter bug that has taken over due to Covid LOWERING IMMUNITY to common viruses"
My financial institution sent me a letter that basically told me "fuck you for having #LongCOVID and being #immunocompromised, we want you to die, we are gaslighting pieces if shit who think that making people remove their masks "for a short time" doesn't "pose a health risk" and the worst part is they claim that "most financial institutions" would do this, despite them having let me open my account with them while masked. Literally the only thing that changed is now they feel empowered to #discriminate against me based on my #health status.
