Teaching can be a tough, joyless job sometimes, but on other days you get a Yr 8 student who reimagines Much Ado by having Disney-style talking cows for characters and calling it "Much A-Moo About Nothing" and you literally cry with laughter #MuchAMoo#Cows#Shakespeare#Education#Teaching#EduGlow@edutooters
I've made it through another half term - a long, dark, difficult - half term. But there's been lots of good stuff too. A student who painted something amazing for me to pass onto an absent colleague. My Yr 11s bringing in props and costumes to film revision material for one of our texts. Fighting for a dyslexia screening, and ultimately a diagnosis, for a Yr 9 boy who didn't understand why school was so tough for him. And now - wine and sleep #EduGlow#Teaching#Education#edutooer@edutooters
This morning, Y7 class:
"...you'll remember we already know of four types in Python: Booleans, floats, integers and strings.
Respectively, the bad type, make your mama sad type, make your girlfriend mad type, and might seduce your dad type."
Alarms off for the summer! I mean, I have a million things to do, that I tell myself I'll do, but I know I won't, and I'll leave until I'm a panicky mess in September. As it ever was. #EduGlow#EduTooter#Education
