@ai6yr I’ve always wanted a small thermometer for the inside of the car but most only go up to 120° & were no name brands. I finally picked up this new one this morning for $10 at Tractor Supply Co. Range is -4 to 158°F. https://www.acurite.com/shop-all/weather-instruments/thermometers-and-hygrometers/digital-thermometer-with-carabiner-clip.html. Hung it on visor out of sunlight. Around noon it was 72° & cloudy with wind, when I returned to the car from picking up groceries for 30 min. Temp inside car went from 78 to 98°. Gonna be interesting to see what it does on a 100° day….
"...But at a campaign rally for presumptive Republican presidential nominee" <redacted> "in Phoenix, 11 people fell ill from heat exhaustion by late afternoon and were taken to the hospital, where they were treated and released, fire officials said."
Only 109F in Furnace Creek as of 11am.. possibly as high as 121F today (not sure on how often that sensor is able to update, it's sent via satellite). #DeathValleyNationalPark#NPS#heatwave#heat#CAwx
