Made some 马帮烤茶 today. Jujube, rice (regular, I did have sticky rice), and some loose-leaf pu'er. Came out pretty nicely.
The only problem i have is caffeine. I read that roasted teas should have less caffeine (compared to unroasted), like e.g. Japanese hojicha, but this one has a definite caffeine punch, so I'm a bit confused. Does roasting effect caffeine content in this case? 🤔 #tea#herbata

I hear that lately the practice to 'artificially age' white teas through wodui process is rampant😵💫😵💫😵💫
I don't really think there is a reliable way to tell, just by looking at the leaves, so having a reliable supplier seems more important than ever.
Taste seems ok, but not like my other aged white tea. Do you have any experience with aged white tea, that just doesn't seem 'right'?
Today i tried some Taiping Houkui tea from Anhui province.
Leaves used to produce this type of green tea are much larger than usual. It's best to enjoy it in a tall glass.
Taste is on a floral side, i couldn't detect any bitterness💚 @tea#tea#herbata
