I recently saw a conversation between two people I respect that ended poorly. This being a social platform, shortage of mutual understanding is not surprising. Most of the time, I just back away slowly, but this time, the topic is important enough, and I think I can see a framing that can help make conversations about it less antagonistic.
Personally, I think #TikTok activists made a Faustian bargain, and I will explain why, but it is their bargain to make, and it is not made of ignorance. Trying to educate them about the privacy and addictiveness problems of TikTok will only piss them off.
Russia seems to wants war against NATO badly. I’m reminded of a certain Mainila and some claimed shots, which preceeded Soviet attack into Finland in 1939.

This is the first time in 3 years when the ambassador of the #EU country presents credentials to the #Belarusian dictator.
Lukashenka, in turn, stated his readiness to "continue dialog with #Hungary in order to de-escalate tensions in the region by resolving disputes only through peaceful negotiations.

Am I the only person who had a feeling that far fetching statements from organisations like RDK, “Svoboda Rossii” Legion and - especially “Kalinovsky Regiment” - on Saturday 24 June were way much premature and might have actually mobilized #Belarus#Lukashenka to make a deal for #Prigozhin?
