@Diggler67@krst I share the mixed thoughts on this. Arniel did a good job stepping in when Bones was away and I don’t have any specific concerns about his coaching bona fides.
The bigger question is the #NHLjets as a team and how to break out of their current patterns. The skills and talent are there and for the most parts so are the desires. If a new coach can get them past their current plateau then we’ll be good. But to date this team seems to be a coach killer…

Interesting point. We’ve lamented for years about the #NHLJets and their inability to live up to the apparent potential of the players. Blame has been attributed in many directions: at some players, the coach(es), the GM but rarely at the owners/top management. Now it makes me wonder, have some of the team issues resulted from some sort of mis-management or interference from TNSE? 1/2
#NHLJets will get to pick from the leftovers of whomever The Leafs pick for their HC (already interviewed Berube), assuming it's not an automatic ascension for Arniel...
Check out y’all … that first guy there went ballistic & lost his mind celebrating. I usually celebrate like that with My Teams when scoring & winning. Think of me that way when we score.

Rick Bowness started his coaching career in 1982 with the Winnipeg Jets. Over forty years and 2600 plus games later in the NHL, the circle has closed and Bones has announced his retirement as head coach of the Winnipeg Jets. Thanks for the memories coach.
"I just love the game. It's been my life." :JetsRetro:
I missed this game last night, so Boston goes to Florida to face the Cats. I did expect the Leafs to move on with the rebuilding they have been doing, but they fell flat short. … like the #NHLJets 🙄
He said the same thing he meant last season, just more eloquently.
It's still up to the players how hungry they are, how much sacrifice they're willing to make.
Blah blah blah about who was put on a line with who, who should have been in the lineup or not, Those who WERE in the lineup did not hit enough, fight for pucks enough, skate hard enough, look enough like they cared...until...as usual...it was out of reach
I can't watch them score again. I can't watch an empty net goal. I can't watch handshakes. 82 games, winning the Jennings, only to earn the opportunity to do it again next year. The hardest cup to win. Goodnight!
