As soon as Shantae Adbance was announced, I wanted to do fanart of my favorite video game character. I was also making this at a time when I was drained when it came to art and IRL. But drawing this really helped me get my groove back.
I went with a big pop-py theme, slightly inspired by Dragalia Lost while trying to keep the excitement I felt for this game's announcement. Replicating the style scene on the promo material was a lot of fun too! I did have plans for including sprites of the characters, but I did not have the passion to add it in.
