A good solar day. Shame we used £2.24 from the grid last night as the solar was so poor yesterday to top up the batteries. We have exported enough to bring today’s cost down to 54p. Not sure we will break even though.
A weird battery day. As Agile was around 8p kWH for a few hours after lunch, I didn’t charge the battery last night. Some solar this morning topped up the battery, but not 100%
I charged to 100% after lunch. I then turned off the battery. No point using 8p kWH from battery when the live cost was still 8p. Some solar covered the washing/drying my wife was doing
Battery back on at 4pm. Now to dump some of the spare battery back to the grid
Best solar day by far this year. 11.4 kWh generated and 5.1 kWh exported to the grid. 75p profit making today’s bill 45p so far. Battery still at 87% won't take much to top it up tonight.
If you looked out the window you wouldn’t say it was the best solar day. Saying that the battery has been full since 8am and has been exporting most of the day. Exported 27p worth today.
Best solar export day so far this year. It was helped by the last two cheap Octopus Agile slots being 7-8am. This mean the battery was fully charged when the sun came up. Handy.
First real export of the year. I have done some force export. It helped that the last overnight charge was 8am so the battery was full later in the morning.
My plan of exporting on a nice clear sunny day after charging the batteries cheaply overnight, has gone out the window. Looked good until about 10.30am. We had exported 17p, but now it black and raining.
FIT tariff has been decommissioned. Now to get my SEG back. Then July can stop being rubbish and the sun can come out again. Ironically the battery has just fully charged and I am exporting 😀
