I have posted our Solar Generation and Export numbers for February. I have added last year’s generations as a comparison.

I am writing up my first year with solar and battery post. I will post it later this week.

Headlines

We produced 4441.7 kWh. This compared to the MCS prediction of 3513.38 kWh.

I used the standard unit rate to calculate what that would have cost to import and added the export of 1192.2 kWh which was £107.27. We saved £1592.41. Very happy with that.

I have posted our Solar Generation and Export numbers for November. I am trying a new format. Let me know what you think. I have also added the yearly graphs for east and west panels.

Not bad at all. A very good solar graph. Just a shame it starts at 6.30am and ends about 7pm. Still can't compain for September.

Halfway through the day and we are heading towards the perfect solar generation curve. Let's just pretend it is June and this will happen for the next four month. Unfortunately, it is September.

I’ve just ordered a new 3.2kWh battery. That means we will have 3x 3.2kWh Greenlinx batteries. My installer was having a sale. Normal price £3,500 + VAT. Sale price £2,400, including VAT and installation.

I should now be able to force discharge during the peak export rates. It might be too later for this year, but didn’t want to miss the sale.

What a terrible forecast today, only 12kWh. This is mad for August!! More like March.

I decided to top up the battery overnight. Hopefully any decent sun will be exported to make up for the overnight charge a bit. It won’t cover all of it, of course. We have spent £1.07 so far today.

Below is the latest state of play.

I have posted our Solar Generation and Export Numbers for July. Not the greatest month, only slight better than April.

No sun to export in August. How mad is this UK weather?

I will be writing up my July stats soon. They will be a bit depressing. I even topped the battery up from the grid yesterday.

At some point I really need to write my Solcast predictions compared to actually generation.

FIT tariff has been decommissioned. Now to get my SEG back. Then July can stop being rubbish and the sun can come out again. Ironically the battery has just fully charged and I am exporting 😀

It has been a long time since the battery hasn’t fully charged from solar. Of course that means no export either

Yesterday was best profit day. Not even the best best kWh day. I have decided to make sure iBoost doesn’t kick in during the best export times. It is all about timings.

Record breaking day yesterday. Biggest export, best export profit and the overall profit for a day. It might seem obvious that one should lead to the other, but with Agile it will depend when you are exporting. As you can see, thanks to graphs, we exporting at the best Agile rate.

Today could be good to. It might be touch and go if we beat tomorrow, today.

The best solar graph so far. After 10am not a cloud in the sky.
