Feels like everyone in knows I've got the decorator in the house.

Just had friendly conversation in the café with a couple who hitherto we'd only exchanged smiles.

First Q: "How's the decorator getting on?"

It started a few weeks ago when I shared it in the street with someone who occasionally joins the coffee table after which it's become the opening line with more folk than I thought I knew.

(Am somewhat flattered, in truth.)

@IveyJanette The shockwave felt like a brief windstorm when it reached Philadelphia. I was listening to WPRB Princeton at the time, and the DJ found it barely remarkable.

PATCO suspended service for quick inspections but already resumed.

For a small table made around the end of WW1 by a recuperating soldier or sailor at Brookwood. Princess Christian was one of Queen Victoria's daughters.

Found in a charity shop a few years back badly waterstained with woodworm holes.

Have no idea who made it, obviously, but whoever did is this morning remembered. Thank you for your service.

A small hand made table constructed around the end of the first world war at the Princess Christian Workshops for discharged soldiers and sailors at Brookwood. I found it in a charity shop badly dishevelled.

The elm timbers in this skip in possibly predate the custom of today's King's Speech and likely have more substance, sadly, imvho.

The alleyway in Tewkesbury known as Walls Court is currently blocked off while rotted elm timbers are replaced.
