I wrote a first version of a #Kodi add-on for #WikiFlix :

You can browse all movies from WikiFlix that are hosted on Wikimedia Commons, by "category" (via @wikidata).

I could not figure out how to implement search/filter for this version, hints are welcome!

You can now log into #WikiFlix and add movies to a Favourites list. Of course, you can still use WikiFlix without login!

Made a list of 300 public domain movies on YouTube to add to #wikidata :

#WikiFlix can now display tags for movies, including "warning" and "danger" styles, based on "depicts" statements in the WIkidata item

Over 2500 more potential movies for #WikiFlix on the Internet Archive, but I don't want to add them in bulk, IA tags some of them as "might be protected by copyright law". I believe manual inspection is required?

Auch deswegen nutze ich YouTube nicht direkt, sondern Links über @invidious* oder nutze es mobil via @newpipe*, um Videos zu sehen und so weit frei vom Tracking zu sein. Leider sind noch nicht sehr viele anregende Videoproduktionen im Fediverse zB auf @peertube vertreten.
