Today I learned that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson together with movie producer (and ex-wife) Dany Garcia owned the #XFL 🏈 after buying it off his old #WWE 🤼 boss Vince McMahon.
And they merged recently with a league called #USFL 🏈, which was owned by FOX Corporation and now it’s been rebranded to form a new league called #UFL (United Football League).
Anyway, between them all, they didn’t manage to rustle up a good website before announcing the thing. 😅
The Texas Rangers, who reside in Arlington Texas, have won the WS. The Arlington Renegades, who also reside in Arlington, won the XFL Championship. Coincidence or conspiracy? Just kidding, purely coincidental.

The XFL has reportedly lost $60 million in its first year. I’m not sure how the league will overcome these losses, but, if you followed me on Twitter, you’ve likely heard me say that the league’s business model is not sustainable. The USFL, conversely, pulled in over $60 million in ad sales alone.
While I appreciate that you can find this in Supermarkets around San Antonio, these should probably be in the team home markets. After all, these are the people likely to want to watch the game.
The Sea Dragons are going to win this game. They won’t hit the magic number of 34. This will go to the fifth tiebreaker. The Sea Dragons will be going to DC for the playoffs. St. Louis has been eliminated.
If I recall, Seattle has to score more than 34 points and hold Vegas to less than 34 points to win that last playoff spot. It’s 0 - 0 right now and we are almost one quarter through the game.
